So you want to create happiness in your life? Well, I’m going to cut right to the chase. Let’s talk about how you, me, we are in our own way and stalling our blessings. As I scrolled through my social media timelines. I realized there’s a lack of happiness. I’m sure you all see it on yours too. You have friends who are over the moon and just embracing joy and then you also have those that are just screaming for healing.
In my years of studying life, of self-actualizing, growing, learning, and being. I learned one thing that I believe is pivotal to sustaining my happiness. It’s at least what I believe to be the key to happiness. I took stock of my life, my choices, my reasons. I took stock of me. And asked myself where I fit in with the way I felt. And I started to see that I was all there was. It was ALL ME. it ALL starts with ME. my joys, my happiness, I had to hold myself accountable for my life and my life experiences and how that affected my relationships and the energy surrounding me and vice versa.
When I started on the path to self-actualization.
I sat in silence countless times in deep meditation and what I will say as a disclaimer is this, the beginning of this journey for me and quite possibly for you. The process, the start, the beginning. Won’t be pretty. It will be pretty ugly. You may find yourself in a space of doing what we in the spiritual 5D world would call “shadow work”. And I know it sounds a bit scary and the truth is, it can be.
Shadow work is your inner guidance showing you the parts of you that have to heal in order for you to release it from your karmic imprint.
Another way of looking at it is connecting with the trauma-based part of you that needs healing to grow into the beautiful butterfly. The shadow work is sort of like you in the cocoon, experiencing harsh truths that lead to your AHA moments and transformation.
This is in part because you have to hold yourself accountable. You must look to see where you’re the negative energy in the equation and you have to own it. you have to come to terms with the moments that the bad vibes you feel are yours. You have to own when you have screwed up, messed up, and did not look out for yourself. by the same token. You have to forgive yourself. You have to love yourself enough to forgive yourself and understand that at all times. You are doing the best you can the best way you know-how.
I want you to heal, find happiness, and step into your authenticity and purpose. And while you’re at it. fall in love with your journey because it’s yours and if you don’t love it, who will?
The first step in creating your happiness:
Hold yourself accountable. Be present in your life and know when you are the negative energy. When you’re screwing up, and take measures to fix it. when you own that you’re messing up you also own the shifting to making better choices. (Kudos to you)
It is so important for you to be happy with yourself. I want you to look yourself in the mirror every day and love the person looking back at you. You have to know that you are worthy, amazing, and magical!

Secondly:
You have to forgive yourself, forgiving yourself allows you to heal. You can’t be happy and hurt at the same time. Forgive your past, forgive anything and anyone that has created a pain and/or trauma. When you don’t forgive you don’t heal. The forgiveness isn’t for anyone other than yourself. So that you find peace in your life and can make room for happiness. Forgive yourself for the times you didn’t live up to your own expectations, or anyone else’s. The worst thing to do is to create an expectation. Expectations almost always lead to disappointment.
When you just simply live in the moment. In the NOW. Without expectation simply just being. There’s no stress. It’s just you and that moment. The minute before is gone and the second after isn’t here. Refuse to allow anything outside of you to put you in an energetic space that will diminish your happiness. When we allow anything and/or anyone to invade our energy and space in a way that shifts our energetic vibration or what I like to call. Juju we block our own blessings.
How is that you ask?!
When we are vibrating at a low frequency, it keeps our blessings away. When you vibrate at a low frequency, you’re feeling negative emotions and it’s times accompanied by low vibrational behavioral patterns. We’ll get into what those feelings and patterns are so that you can recognize them and shift the thought, feeling and change the behavior. (it will change your life)

“Happiness is an inside job”
That’s right! Happiness starts with you. And guess what? Until you’re happy with you. You will not find happiness with anyone. No relationship can create real true permanent, authentic happiness. Happiness comes from self acceptance. The most beautiful person is the person who knows their own value and is happy with themselves because that person isn’t looking for validation from outside sources. That person is not dependent on anyone else’s opinion. Because of this, The glow is different. You ever notice how happy people have this “beautiful glow”?
When you’re happy with yourself. You create healthy life patterns which in turn brings a better quality of life. Your relationships are happier and healthy. You’re no longer coming from a place of insecurity and self doubt and because of that you’re not behaving in a manner that is needy, clingy, possessive or aggressive and anyone who exhibits these types of behaviors will be a turn off to you as well. your eating habits, the things you allow into your personal space have a greater purpose.
So we covered 1st and 2nd steps to finding your happiness, 1st is holding yourself accountable, 2nd is forgiving yourself and healing.

If you guessed feeling gratitude you guessed right! If you have read any of my other posts you know I am big on gratitude. I find that gratitude really does unlock the fullness of life because I don’t know anyone who is grateful and angry. You can’t be both. Take stock of the things you’re grateful for. Think of a few things you’re grateful for today and if you can, start a gratitude journal and list what you’re grateful for. I will list a quick few because trust me when I tell you, my list seems endless.

When you get out of your way and stop feeling self-doubt you open the door to happiness and your blessings. Allow that, because your purpose needs that from you. Your growth and evolution require it.
